The equipment featured on this page provides a simple, but effective solution for,
basic nurse call functions and detecting and raising an alarm for bed leaving, door
exit and wandering. The system is fully expandable with a maximum capacity of monitoring
up to 40 devices. These can be patient call buttons, bed leaving alarms, door opening
alarms and PIR movement sensors.
The ELM-01 nurse call display provides an audible alarm with the option of device
number announcement or chime alarm with volume adjustment and visual numeric indication
of transmitter number ID. A review button allows previous outstanding calls to be
reviewed. The Call Display is powered by DC adaptor with battery back-up provided
by 4 x C size batteries. Dimensions:

The ELM-02 voice announcement pager receives alarm call signals via the ELM-01 monitor
and also voice announces transmitter call numbers enabling care staff to quickly
respond to incidents. The pager operates from 2 x AA batteries with low battery warning
and has volume adjustment. Dimensions: W 80mm. H 58mm. D 21mm. Includes low battery
warning, call review button and sturdy belt clip with table stand option. Operating
range from ELM-01 150 Metres.
The ELM-PTX Call Transmitters are powered by a single A23 12V battery and have an
input socket (3.5mm mono) to accept a nurse call pear switch or the CT3 pressure
mat. The call transmitter can be operated by a built in call button, pear switch
or a pressure mat trigger. When triggered a signal is transmitted to the ELM-01 Call
Display and the ELM-02 call pager. A wall mount transmitter holder is supplied.
The transmitter is equipped with a staff call reset button so that calls can be
cancelled from the patients room. A neck cord is supplied so that patients can wear
the transmitter for use in a lounge or when sitting in their room away from the wall
fixing. Can also be used in W/C’s.
The ELM-PTX PIR Transmitter can be used to detect a person leaving their bed. If
the PIR is fixed to a wall aiming up the length of the bed below the top of the mattress,
the PIR will detect the patients legs as they attempt to rise from the bed. Useful
to detect patients at risk from falls. Additionally, the PIR can be used to detect
residents approaching an exit door, other residents doors or wandering into dangerous
or restricted areas. The transmitter sends an alarm signal to the ELM-01 Call Display
and the ELM-02 pager with ID number. Powered by 3 x AA batteries with option to use
DC power adaptor. Features on/off switch, wall fixing bracket with angle adjustment,
movement detect LED and low battery warning. Transmitter range 150 Metres.
The ELM-DTX Door & Window Transmitter provides a simple means of fitting a wireless
alarm to a door or window. Useful for Dementia care, wandering residents attempting
to open a door to exit a building or their room will result in an instant alarm transmission
to the Call Display and Pager. Powered by 1 x A23 12V battery. Dimensions: H 70mm.

The CT3 Pressure Mat is a high quality extremely durable pressure mat for use with
the ELM-PTX Call Transmitter. The mat measuring 750mm x 450mm, terminated with a
3.5mm jack socket with 3 Metre connecting lead, can be placed by a residents bed
on non-slip matting or can be positioned under a carpet or rug. A person standing
on the mat will result in a transmission to the Call Display and Pager. Reinforced
terminal connectors reduce damage or failure due to misuse by residents or care staff.
The BTNC-01 Nurse Call Lead is a high quality nurse call pear switch with 3 Metre
connector lead for use with the ELM-PTX transmitter. A bedding slip prevents the
pear switch from falling away from the patient. Push to make contacts.
The ELM-DC Door Contact Set can be purchased for use with the ELM-PTX Call Transmitter.
The contacts connect to the transmitter input jack socket and can be used to alarm
windows and doors. If purchasing a starter kit, an effective anti-wander solution
can be installed in minutes.
HOW THE EQUIPMENT CAN BE USED
For a small care home, a simple kit is available comprising of 4 x ELM-PTX Call Transmitters,
1 ELM-01 Call Display and 1 x ELM-02 Pager. The transmitters can be used as patient
call buttons or optional extras can be purchased such as the CT3 pressure mat or
ELM-DC Door Contact Set. The four transmitters supplied in the kit can all be used
as anti-wander products. The door contact sets and pressure mats simply plug into
the ELM-PTX transmitters.
