The illustration on the right shows a temperature sensor, mains control socket and a control socket with a fan plugged in. The socket is normally off. If the room temperature rises to the switching temperature of the sensor the built in transmitter sends a signal to the socket, which in turn switches the fan on. The sensor transmitter can operate in two ways: 1. By sending an on signal, fan will be switched off automatically when the room (sensor) temperature falls by 2°C below the sensor preset level. 2. The transmitter has a timer that can be set by switch to automatically send an off signal. Settings from 30 seconds to 20 minutes. The control socket can also be manually switched on/off using a key fob transmitter.

MAINS POWERED CONTROL RECEIVER
The mains powered receiver can also receive signals from the temperature sensor or
key fob transmitter. The receiver controls an internal relay, which can switch mains
voltage or provide clean contacts with normally open and normally closed contacts.
The receiver can be used to directly control a fan or be used to trigger a telephone
auto dialler. When temperature extremes may affect people, animals or sensitive equipment,
the dialler will provide an off-
Temperature sensors are available for rising temperatures from 8°C ~ 50°C
